Why? Birkenstocks are a classic. Hated and loved by fashion and men, these are completely Cheugy and completely great. I love them especially when styled with killer denim, lounge, leggings, and a super short sexy summer dress or a slip dress. When Phoebe Philo was at Celine, she created her own version and styled with both suits and gorgeous silk dresses. I am all for a Birkenstock with a suit, beyond chic and DGAF attitude in the best way. Plus your feet will thank you.

What? The shearling and leather classics are my jam: Boston, Arizona, Gizeh, Madrid and Kyoto. I also love the Daytona. The other styles feel a little too crunchy and unflattering to me. The platforms and shearling options are chef’s kiss. Avoid the wedges (to awkward and orthopedic looking) and any weird materials like a crush velvet.
