I discovered Red Wing many moons ago while living in NYC and collecting shoes for my styling archive. I loved the manly, American workwear vibe that can add instant grunge, down to earth cool to any overtly feminine look. This company is one of the originally American boot companies and so many of the old timers we know in our motorcycle community wear these as part of their daily uniform with a classic 501 and white tee. I love them with a classic jean and tee as much as I do with a dress. Overalls and jumpsuits? Absolutely awesome paired with these classic boots. My personal favorites are the classic Mocs with the light colored soles but I also have the super high lace ups and love them! My petite friends love the heeled variations and I am also now eyeing the Chelsea boot with the classic vibram sole. The engineer boot is pretty killer as well, especially if you prefer a pull on style. If you like a slightly older and more dressed up variation, the Iron Ranger and Silversmith have you covered. I love the toughness that these boots add to my floral dresses especially.
