Shearling Boots

I am a sucker for shearling boots (and shoes) the minute a snowflake falls. In the early 00’s after visiting my sister in Malibu, I was obsessed with UGGs, the shearling boot of surfers and Y2K. I had one celebrity client who lived in UGGs up until recently and would have anyone fired on her teams if they photographed her in her UGGs. When I was shopping at Chanel in Paris a few years back, I found the shearling boots with ice grip soles and had to have them. They have become my luxury UGGs. Hedi Slimane did these incredible over the knee shearling boots a few years back and I still dream of them. Whether you go flat and comfy or high and sexy, having at least one good shearling (or faux shearling) in your closet is a must. I like to mix it with easy classics like Hedi did above! Especially great with Jeans and if the boot has a heel, a midi skirt!
