Mackage

Why? Years back Mackage hired me to style a few of their runway shows, and I was lucky enough to score a men’s leather long hooded puffer jacket.   I wore it for more than 10 years in blizzards and freezing temps around the world.  I ended up selling the coat in 2018 and it’s one of the only things I regret selling.  I have been eyeing a few new puffer jackets from Mackage for my new wardrobe.  I love the brand because the shapes are usually interesting and the quality is up there with best of the fashion puffer companies without the obnoxious logos.  Of course, they do have logos are some of their pieces and I would avoid those.  I am a big fan of patch removal with any brand, and would do the same with these coats.

What?  Puffers, for both mens and womens are both great on a female.  I am also obsessed with the leather sweatshirt, which I want to get for moto riding.  And I love the interesting fabrics they do every season.  The long styles are particularly good for the coldest temps and the leather/puffer combo is my absolute favorite.  I like to stick to neutral tones like black, white, brown, navy, burgundy or army green.    The ski clothes are pretty freaking cute too.

How? I like puffers with any sportier or tailoring look, I am not a big fan of puffers with dresses, unless they are paired with mini/short dresses.

Where? Mackage’s website has the best options by far.   You can also find Mackage at Intermix, ShopBop, Revolve and Bloomingdales
