Femme LA

Femme was founded by single mother-of-two Janis Tello, who had no formal design training but a drive to “create something out of nothing”. Born in Hollywood – “not the glitz and glamour version” – fashion was not on the radar of her family, who are of Colombian, Russian and Dominican descent. “Shelter and food were at the top of the list,” Tello explains on Femme.la. Her intrigue around the industry came “from playing with the one doll we were gifted each year, making her clothes and accessories to sketching things I only dreamed of having like gowns, shoes… dream cars and homes.”

I love the simplicity of these sexy affordable heels and the classic silhouettes of the Femme LA designs giving me 1980’s in the best way. The colors can be both fun and classic, same with the materials. She does only make Vegan options and many of the styles on the website are made to order for sustainability. These are shoes that will last for years and age well with your wardrobe.
