The seventies has been in fashion for the past 5 years, but this season the seventies vibes specifically ran along with the late sixties and into the seventies Women's Liberation Movement, Gloria Steinham and the rejection of the complacent house wife life.  I think American Hustle's amazing wardrobe may have also had something to do with it.  Here are the most important 70's references for this season:
