Holding On To Summer: With Easy Vintage

Vintage Black Dress Sally Lyndley Street Style

At the beach house here in So Cal, we have summer all the way until late October.  This is when I really love going to the beach.  The tourists are gone and the kids are in school so weekday beach trips are quiet and relaxing.  The water is a bit warmer and there is still plenty of sunshine to get my tan on.  As much as I want to pull out my fall wardrobe, I am happy I continue to hold on to my favorite summer dresses long into a California fall.  Here's a dress I found in the Paris flea markets years ago when I was assisting at Vogue Paris.  It's a black cotton dress from the seventies.  I love it because it has a bit of a latin vibe and it's super comfy.  I team it up here with my hippie jewelry, a Chanel satin and suede hair bow barrette, big black sunnies from Forever 21, my Hermes medor watch, and vintage espadrilles by Helmut Lang.  Here's to holding on to summer.
