Dover Street Market is always one of my favorite places to wander through whenever I am in Manhattan, London or Tokyo. Rei Kawakubo and her buying team at DSM are very particular and ballsy when it comes to the designers they choose to carry on the sales floor. Some of the big fashion brands are accounted for like Celine, Lanvin and of course Comme and Junya, but I especially love to see what younger baby brands are included in their buy. J JS Lee came to me via Dover Street Market and I love the weird quirky minimalism of this collection. Pepto pink, navy gingham and sickening pale turquoise make for a super unexpected color palette for the clean lined dresses and suits. Lee is def a new establishment member to watch. The real question is will her next season get bought by DSM? We hope so!
