Do Fashion Stylists Need To Go To School?

A question I get over and over again is... Where did you go to school to be a stylist?  I didn't.  From what I have learned there is no school that teaches legit fashion styling.  I know many schools have courses but the problem is the curriculum and the professors have no real experience with what fashion styling has become.  Most schools teach useless wardrobe styling.
