Why? Commando is to me an updated, younger version of Wolford. They make and carry the classic underpinnings, hosiery and compression shapewear everyone should have in their closet at a slightly more affordable price than our beloved Wolford. But the area of their collection where Commando really stands out is the patent and faux leather pieces, as well as the sequin legging options. These are fun basics to mix it up and add edge to your closet without becoming age inappropriate. The faux leather and patent pieces add a Dominatrix vibe that are great to style with masculine clothing like shirts and blazers. And the bodysuits with the mock necks give me 90’s heaven all day long! The bodysuits are so good with a great pair of jeans and a classic sneaker. The fabrics are the real reason I love Commando so much, they are soft but provide the lift and hold without being uncomfortable. Also 85% of their collection is produced in the USA, some of the fabrics are developed in Italy and all of the fabrics and clothing are made in fair wage, sustainable focused factories.

What? I am obsessed with the patent and faux leather leggings, bras, skirts and body suits. All of the basics like bras, panties and hosiery are great. Beware of the joggers and the more complicated style bottoms, they look very tricky, unflattering and ill fitting.
