Wardrobe Staple no 10 of 33: The Jean
Everyone needs one good pair of jeans in their closet. Period. Skinny, flared, high-waisted or stove pipe, find the perfect pair of jeans to go with your personal style. They can be black, white, acid wash, light blue or dark blue. Right now, my preference are both from Ebay, made in the USA vintage cowboy cut Wranglers & boyfriend style 501 Levis. If you are going for a boyfriend fit in vintage jeans, remember to size up two sizes at least!
Levi’s 501 collection is and will always be one of my favorite pairs of jeans. The 501 cut is timeless and the new versions Levis have created are *chefs kiss. If you are on a budget, there is nothing better than a good ole Cowboy Cut from Wrangler at $60. I like the mens fit, but they have Womens as well, which are more cinched at the waist. As far as designer jeans go, I only really like Agolde at the moment. The Riley is super cute, and so are the 90’s shapes. Redone is great too, if you want the bougie up cycled vibe, stick to their Redone/Levi’s recreations or the black denims! The washes for their own jeans get a little too fake. For curve women, Levi’s has great options, and I know I sound like a broken record, but Good American is killing the plus size denim game.
