Wardrobe Staple no 21 of 33: The Midi Skirt

Riding the line of sensuality and modesty, the midi skirt adds instant femininity to any look. Giving us a 90’s/40’s vibe all at the same time, this length that hits below the knee is versatile for both high and low temps. In the summer, I love rocking this type of skirt with a tank, cami or tee and a fabulous sandal. In the winter I prefer a sweatshirt or a heavy knit with tights and a chunky boot for proper grunge vibes. The skirt is really easy to dress for date night with a silky top or the office with a blazer. I also love it with a great pair of low top sneakers and a jean jacket for running errands. This length is a must for your skirt selection!!

I own this skirt in four prints from Realisation. This Reformation midi adds a slit for the perfect leg flash. The buttons on this Rouje skirt give me 1940’s in the best way. Bonadrag has a killer selection of midi silhouettes on their site always. I love the fun Jane Birkin vibes of this crochet Nili Lotan skirt. Free People has every midi under the sun. And Love Shack Fancy brings the whimsical to every midi skirt they make! Silk Laundry has lovely options in multiple colors and prints. And if you want a good pleat, check out these Comme Des Garcon options.
